Georgia officials aware of Nick Gordon’s domestic violence arrest
Authorities in Georgia say they’re aware of Nick Gordon’s recent domestic violence arrest, and that their investigation into his former girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death is ongoing.
Gordon was booked on a battery charge in Seminole County, Fla., on Saturday following an incident involving his girlfriend Laura Leal, according to a police report obtained by the Daily News.

Leal told police that Gordon struck her in the face multiple times and pulled her hair while she was driving after she picked him up from a bar. The officer noted seeing slight swelling and dried blood on Leal’s bottom lip. Gordon, meanwhile, claimed to police that Leal attacked him, claiming she is “crazy.”
Gordon’s former girlfriend, Brown — the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown — died at 22 in July 2015, six months after she was discovered unconscious in a bathtub at an Atlanta home. Brown’s estate has accused Gordon of being responsible for her death, claiming he gave her a “toxic cocktail.”
A judge ordered Gordon in 2016 to pay $36 million to Brown’s estate for her wrongful death in civil lawsuit, but Gordon has not been criminally charged and has maintained his innocence.
Officials with the Fulton County (Ga.) District Attorney’s Office declined to comment Wednesday on whether Brown’s latest legal trouble will factor into the investigation into Brown’s death.

Gordon is scheduled to make a court appearance on April 6.
Saturday’s arrest marks the second time Gordon has been arrested on domestic violence charges in the past year.
He was also arrested in June for allegedly punching Leal multiple times after he accused her of attempting to hook up with his friend, a police report showed.
