John Stamos welcomes first child with wife Caitlin McHugh
John Stamos’ house just got fuller.
The actor, 54, welcomed his first child — a son named Billy — with his wife Caitlin McHugh, he announced Monday with an Instagram snap of the newborn.
“From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son,” Stamos captioned the black-and-white photo of the baby resting on his chest and holding his finger. “Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father) #NotJustanUncleAnymore #Overjoyed.”
Stamos and McHugh revealed they had a baby on the way in December. The “Full House” star then took to Instagram later that month to share a photo from his own childhood showing him balancing on his father’s hand.

“I will certainly fall short of the father my pop was, but — I’m going to give it my all! #Balance #BillStamos #Hero,” Stamos captioned the post.
Stamos and McHugh, 31, got engaged in October after more than two years of dating and married in February.
The actor is best known for playing Uncle Jesse — the cool uncle to Bob Saget’s character’s three kids — on “Full House.” He has since reprised the classic role on the show’s reboot “Fuller House” in recent years.

Hollywood baby boom
He previously teased that all of his on-screen experiences with kids have helped prepared him to be a real-life parent.

“I’ll be a fun dad. I’ve been practicing for a long time,” Stamos quipped to People in December. “I’ve done every schtick you can do with a baby on TV … all the bits and jokes and diaper gags. I’ll probably just do all that stuff.”
