Alec Baldwin thinks he '1,000% would win' an election against President Trump
The man who plays President Trump on TV thinks he could do better in an election too.
Alec Baldwin apparently believes he’s suited for the non-“Saturday Night Live” Oval Office as well.
“If I ran, I would win,” the actor said Monday on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show after the host asked who the Democratic Party should run against the incumbent. “I would absolutely win. I 1,000% would win.”
Only two things stand in his way, Baldwin said: his wife’s approval and his job as “Match Game” host.
Stern even suggested that he run as Donald Trump, which would at least make the debates interesting.

“If I ran for president, I would win. Hands down, I would win,” Baldwin said. “It would be the funniest, most exciting, craziest campaign.”
Baldwin, who won an Emmy for his presidential portrayal, has received praise from “SNL” fans and quite the opposite from the President himself, who has frequently lashed out on Twitter about the late night sketch show.
Stern and Baldwin did take a more serious political note about the outlook for 2020.
“Somebody great is going to come up, I hope,” Baldwin said. “I’d love to run for that kind of position to just have things be very common sense. There are so many things that this country needs to do that are so obvious.”
