Angelina Jolie warned she could face custody shakeup over kids' 'closed down' relationship with Brad Pitt: report
Angelina Jolie is in jeopardy of losing physical custody of her kids if she doesn’t do more to improve their relationship with Brad Pitt, according to a new report.
TheBlast.com said Tuesday it obtained a sealed order in the sparring spouses’ bitter divorce that revealed Jolie has been put on notice by a Los Angeles County judge.
The judge reportedly told Jolie her six kids appeared “closed down” to Pitt in the wake of the couple’s 2016 divorce filing and that she should take immediate steps to repair the damage.
“Not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them,” the judge said, according to The Blast. “It is critical that each of them have a healthy and strong relationship with their father and mother.”
The judge reportedly ordered Jolie to organize a call with the kids and their doctors to convey the message “the court has determined that each of them are safe with their father.”
“If the minor children remain closed down to their father, and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with (Jolie) and may result in the court ordering primary physical custody to (Pitt),” the ruling reportedly said.
Jolie, 43, filed for divorce from her “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” co-star in September 2016 after two years of marriage and 12 years together.
The shock petition came after a disputed incident aboard a private flight back from France that month.
Sources previously told the Daily News that Pitt argued with the couple’s oldest son Maddox on the plane but did not physically harm the teenager.
The FBI and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services investigated the incident and allegations of child abuse but closed their cases without charges.
In the new paperwork obtained by The Blast, the judge said Jolie must provide Pitt, 54, with the cell number for each child and allow unfettered calling.
Jolie also must refrain from reading Pitt’s text messages with the couple’s minor kids, the website said.
The filing reportedly outlined a summer custody plan that includes visitation schedules in London, where Jolie is filming the “Maleficent” sequel, and Los Angeles, The Blast said.
The schedule reportedly does not include Maddox because the court found the teen is old enough to decide how much time he wants to spend with Pitt.
